Schneider Electric unveils industrial copilot at Automate 2025

DATE POSTED:May 12, 2025
Schneider Electric unveils industrial copilot at Automate 2025

Schneider Electric is showcasing its latest innovations in open, software-defined automation and advanced technologies at Automate 2025 in Detroit. The company is demonstrating how its solutions enhance the competitiveness and resilience of U.S. industry through state-of-the-art robotics, industrial AI, and digitalization.

The exhibition features Schneider Electric’s industrial copilot, developed in collaboration with Microsoft, designed to boost productivity and enhance workforce efficiency. This Generative AI-powered assistant integrates Microsoft Azure AI Foundry with Schneider Electric’s advanced and secure industrial automation solutions. By eliminating repetitive tasks, it simplifies application development, delivering efficiency gains and bringing quality solutions to market faster.

Industrial copilots address labor shortages and enhance complex operations by empowering workers, reducing mental strain, and retaining knowledge despite high turnover. They automate routine tasks, improve efficiency with real-time recommendations, and minimize machine downtime with immediate troubleshooting and predictive maintenance. Aamir Paul, President of North America Operations at Schneider Electric, stated that the copilot bridges the skills gap by simplifying processes and boosting worker confidence.

The copilot will be available within Schneider’s newly launched unified automation environment, EcoStruxure Automation Expert Platform. This platform integrates seamlessly across various hardware and software platforms, enhancing collaboration between copilots, operators, and engineers.

Visitors to the Automate booth will experience EcoStruxure Automation Expert in a brewery setup, demonstrating how open, software-defined automation connects ecosystems to enhance daily operations. The exhibition also features the newly launched Modicon M660 Industrial PC motion controller and Modicon Edge I/O NTS, which set a new benchmark in motion control. The Lexium line of industrial robots enhances manufacturing flexibility and productivity, while AVEVA Enterprise Visualization provides a real-time overview of operations across dispersed assets.

Other showcased solutions include TeSys Deca Advanced, a toolless contactor that transforms motor management with its innovative SNAP IN technology, and Schneider Electric’s “Schmoooth” advertising campaign, highlighting the benefits of partnering with the company. The campaign promises 7x better system agility, 10x faster incident resolution, 55% higher workforce efficiency, and 20% energy savings.

Schneider Electric leaders will be speaking at Automate 2025, including Aamir Paul, who will discuss redefining industry and the opportunities it creates for the American workforce, and Andre Marino, who will explore real-world strategies from U.S. manufacturing excellence.
